Nothing causes more debate than the “best pizza” — this can fracture friendships in Italy. But if you prefer a thin, airy and crunchy “mountain-style” crust (made with water from the Dolomites), then Denis Pizza is hands down the best. It has won many awards. It does a wonderful selection of either traditional or avant-garde topping combinations. My favourite is a seasonal grilled peach and pecorino fondue ladled on by the wait staff (and yes, you can ask for more cheese). There is a good selection of Italian wines. Attentive, friendly service. Book ahead as this is a very popular spot. There are two locations.
